
If I were a governing authority of what may be considered a food group, one would be tofu scramble and it would be my favourite food group of all time. Tofu scram is seriously so versatile. Here are the steps to tofu scramble:

-Cook garlic and onions in oil.
-Add firm, pressed tofu by either crumbling or cubing and cook until it starts to brown. Add turmeric for colour.
-ADD ALL OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS. SERIOUSLY. My favourite things to put in it are kale, bell peppers, potatoes, chives, basil nutritional yeast, braggs, lemon juice, and sometimes nuts and seeds.
-CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE. You can wrap this up in a tortilla, eat it by itself with toast, put it on top of Mac and Uncheese with too much ketchup (this would also be a separate food group in a world governed by Sarah Louise), eat it with soup on the side because soup is also awesome, eat it while watching Blue Planet. The possibilities are endless. Seriously.

I’ve been travelling in SE Asia since January and I miss tofu scramble SO MUCH! The first thing I’m going to do when I visit my bff in a few weeks is take over her kitchen and scramble everything in sight!
